| NEW INTERVIEW: Greg Vaughan on his GH exit! |

Probably one of the most shocking turn events happened late last month when the powers-that-be at GH and ABC decided to make a soap switch that brought three time Daytime Emmy winner, Jonathan Jackson back to the role he made famous as Luke and Laura' son, Lucky Spencer. But with the return of Jackson, that means the end of the run for one of daytime's favorite good guys, Greg Vaughan. Vaughan who has played the grown-up Lucky for almost seven years was given his walking papers and told he was being replaced, contrary to initial reports that he was leaving of his own accord.
I sat down with Greg last Thursday night, and finally interviewed him for the first time in my soap career. Not by choice. The stars never aligned to get our schedules together to condut one, but on this night it did. And getting the opportunity one on one to discuss with Greg the events and circumstances, and his current thoughts and feelings on the sudden departure was something that I knew I wanted to appropriately relate back to his fans and to GH viewers.
It is a terrible shock to lose your job in this economy with a wife, child and another one on the way, and to feel that you were under utilized. I think we all have felt some of this in our own real life situations, which made this interview all the more relatable to those who have or may go through a life-altering abrupt change.

I think you will find it revealing and a bit heartbreaking. At the end of conducting our interview, I gave Greg a big hug, because I was deeply affected after talking to him. I knew he had been through a difficult few weeks, and I could hear it in his voice. But Greg is a resiliant actor, and I am sure we will see him pop up on daytime screens again soon.
Till next time,
Michael
